Located in Saint Maximin, overlooking the Alzon valley, it's one of the "chic-est" villages of Uzège, at the western point of Provence. Within easy reach of the Rhône Valley there's so much to do here. From the vineyards through to canoe adventures along the Gardon river taking in The Pont du Gard - we'll be able to help you get the most out of your stay.
The Chateau was sold in 1156 by the king of France to the bishop of Uzès. Later, it formed part of the estate of d'Argenvilliers, Jean Racine's uncle. Racine, the famous writer, remembers in 1661-1662, the walks through the garrigues to the house.
